Domain registration
The registration gives you use of a domain name. Know the registrar, renewal arrangements, and who has authority over the account.
DNS management
DNS directs requests for your domain to the relevant services. Different records can point website traffic and email to different providers.
Website hosting
Hosting runs or serves the website. Moving a website does not necessarily mean moving registration or email.
Email hosting
Your mail service handles sending, receiving, and mailboxes. A website migration needs to account for existing mail delivery records.
A coordinated change
Before changing nameservers or canceling services, establish the complete setup and a reviewed migration plan. Contact JIJ if you are unsure what is connected.
